Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before downloading or using Sightline ("the app"). By using the app you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. About the App

Sightline is a personal privacy tool that uses Bluetooth scanning to detect nearby devices matching the signatures of known camera glasses and wearable recording hardware. It is provided for lawful personal use only.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use Sightline. By using the app you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Permitted Use

You may use Sightline to:

Scan your personal environment for devices that may be recording without your knowledge.
Review your personal detection history.
Submit anonymous community reports about suspicious devices (Pro feature).

4. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use Sightline to:

Track, surveil, or harass any individual.
Circumvent or interfere with any Bluetooth device or communications system.
Conduct any activity that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law — including laws governing wiretapping, electronic surveillance, stalking, or harassment.
Submit false or misleading community reports.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
Use the app for any commercial surveillance or intelligence-gathering purpose.

5. No Guarantee of Detection

Sightline identifies devices based on a curated signature database. It cannot detect all surveillance devices. A clean scan is not a guarantee that your environment is free of recording devices. Do not rely solely on this app for personal safety decisions.

6. In-App Purchases

Sightline Pro is available as a one-time in-app purchase processed by Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). All purchases are subject to the payment platform's terms and refund policies. We do not handle payment information directly.

Pro features are tied to the Google or Apple account used at time of purchase. You may restore your purchase on a new device using the "Restore Purchase" option in the app.

7. Subscription and Pricing Changes

The one-time purchase price of Sightline Pro may change for new customers at any time. Existing purchasers retain their Pro status permanently.

8. Updates and Availability

We may update, modify, or discontinue any feature of the app at any time without notice. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience resulting from such changes.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and trademarks associated with Sightline are the property of AppLabs LLC. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal purposes in accordance with these Terms.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, APPLABS LLC AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF — OR INABILITY TO USE — THE APP.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR SIGHTLINE PRO IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD $10.00, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AppLabs LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the app or violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Florida, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. The updated Terms will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
